We organize a range of mutual aid projects in municipalities across the Hudson Valley, including brake light clinics, through which we help each other avoid unnecessary interactions with the carceral system by checking and repairing brake lights; and coat drives, through which we distribute clothing and food to our communities. Mutual Aid Working Group Retreat
If an event has a ⭐ in front of its name, that means it is a good fit for first-timers!
Mutual Aid Working Group Retreat
June 28, 2025 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
With so many initiatives forming lately, our mutual aid working group is holding a retreat for active organizers and new members to figure out our priorities together.
Let's collectively gauge our capacity for hosting food pantries, repair clinics, and other initiatives while responding to urgent needs. What specific outcomes are we hoping to see from the migrant defense subcommittee? What are our long-term relational expectations of each other as this group develops its own culture? How is our work in conversation with other chapter priorities?
Whether you've been actively thinking about any of these questions or are just finding your footing with the chapter in general, join us to get to know comrades in the mutual aid working group. Facilitators for upcoming events are highly encouraged to join!
RSVP here! https://actionnetwork.org/events/mutual-aid-wg-retreat-3/
